Mobile App Usage and Permissions

Mobile App Usage and Permissions

Mobile Apps require permissions on the device in particular Access to your Contact list, Access to manage calls and Access to Record Audio. Neither Weconnect Africa nor any of our third party providers have access to this information. Weconnect Africa cannot access your contact list, manage your calls or record your audio. The purpose of the permissions is

  1. Access to Contact list – This is to allow the Weconnect Africa app read your contact numbers when accessing the international number you wish to dial while in the app. Denying the app this permission means when in the app you may not be able to access your contacts.
  2. Access to Manage Calls – This is to allow the Weconnect Africa app make calls when you attempt to make a call via access number or via internet/data. Denying the app this permission means calls will not be successfully made.
  3. Access to Record Audio – This allows the Weconnect Africa app use your microphone so that when a call is picked by the receiver they can be able to hear you the caller. The “record audio” is used if you needed to record a voice mail or send a voice message”. No other audio recording is required. Denying the app this permission means the receiver will not be able to hear your voice as you speak.
